Peter De Cock studied at the Damiaan Instituut in Aarschot where he completed his secondary education in mechanics. From the age of 16, Peter did summer jobs on Swiss farms specialising in cheese, cows and even tobacco. Subsequently, he graduated from the Hoger Insitutuut der Kempen in Geel obtaining his agricultural degree with specialisation in dairy farming.

In Switzerland he completed higher studies at the Ecole de Fromagerie et d’Industrie Laitière de Moudon (EFILM Canton de Vaud) and obtained his diploma. After this additional qualification, he gained more practical experience at the Swiss cheese manucturer in Nods, in Canton Bern.

Returning to Belgium , he learned to sell cheese at cheese specialist Elsen in the Mechelsestraat in Leuven where he worked as a sales assistant for 2 years. In 1998, he could finally fulfil his passion: showing 8 sheep of the breed Belgian Milk Sheep, which he kept on the parking lot of the world-famous Rock Werchter Festival.

On 6 June 1999 , he purchased his own farm in Acremont, and moved in on 15 August. This was the start of a rich learning process that has grown into a productive and still flourishing business with significant interest both at home and abroad.

His many varieties of cheese, yoghourt, sheep milk and numerous other products have found an ever increasing market, due to their high bio- and health factors on the one hand, and the very good taste on the other. Peter is even to be found selling his products on the markets of Leuven and Boitsfort. He provides tours of his farm in Acremont on request (reservation preferred). There is also a possibility of tasting the delicious products in a picturesque setting of unspoiled nature.
